Top Notch Tallow Balm – FAQ
(We believe in honesty—no gimmicks, no synthetic nonsense. Just real answers to real questions.)
1. Is this balm suitable for all skin types?
Yes. It's suitable for dry, oily, acne-prone, sensitive, mature skin, and even baby skin. All ingredients are food-grade and skin-compatible, without synthetic chemicals.
2. Can I use it on my face, body, and lips?
Absolutely. It’s a multipurpose balm meant for full-body use—face, lips, hands, cracked feet, scars, rash, post-sun exposure, and more. One jar replaces many products.
3. Is it safe for babies and pregnant women?
Yes. Every ingredient is natural, safe, and edible. No synthetic preservatives, no fragrance, and no hormone disruptors. It’s safe for the whole family.
4. Does it have an expiry date?
It technically doesn’t expire, as it’s oil-based and water-free. However, for best quality, we recommend using it within 12 months after opening.
5. What if the balm melts in hot weather?
Don’t worry—it’s completely normal in Malaysia’s climate. Just place the jar in your fridge for 15–30 minutes and it will solidify again. It won’t affect quality.
6. Is it greasy or sticky on the skin?
Not at all. It’s whipped into a smooth, buttery texture that absorbs well into the skin. A little goes a long way—especially in our tropical climate.
7. Can I use it on acne-prone skin?
Yes. It contains tallow, black seed oil, honey, and methylene blue—ingredients known to calm inflammation, reduce bacterial overgrowth, and heal the skin barrier.
8. Does it have a strong smell?
No. We use only a small amount of natural Kasturi Kijang (musk deer). It gives a warm, calming scent that’s subtle and safe for sensitive skin and babies.
9. Why is the balm green like matcha?
Its natural green tone is the result of blending:
🔹 Methylene Blue (blue)
🔸 Red Palm Oil (reddish-orange)
🟡 Beeswax (golden yellow)
No artificial coloring—just functional ingredients.
10. What makes this balm different from others?
It combines ancestral healing (tallow, honey, black seed oil) with mitochondrial science (USP-grade methylene blue). No filler, no gimmick. Just real results.
11. Is this product vegan-friendly?
No. It contains goat tallow, beeswax, and Kasturi Kijang (natural musk)—all animal-derived, ethically sourced, and chosen for their deep compatibility with human biology.
12. Is it safe for eczema and psoriasis?
Yes. It’s designed to calm inflammation, rebuild the skin barrier, and support natural healing—without steroids, perfumes, or synthetic actives.
13. Can I use it around the eyes?
Yes, gently. It’s safe around the delicate eye area but avoid getting it directly into the eyes. It helps with dryness and fine lines.
14. Can men use this balm?
Definitely. It’s neutral, multipurpose, and deeply restorative—perfect for beard care, cracked hands, dry skin, sun exposure, and more.
15. Can I use it under makeup?
Yes. Apply a thin layer and let it absorb for 5–10 minutes. It acts as a nourishing primer and helps protect the skin barrier throughout the day.
16. Does it contain any synthetic fragrance?
No. We only use real Kasturi Kijang (natural musk) for its therapeutic, non-irritating scent. No synthetic perfumes. No alcohol.
17. How often should I use it?
Use it as often as needed. For healing purposes: 2–3 times daily. For daily maintenance: once a day, ideally at night, is enough.
18. Can I apply it to open wounds or cracked skin?
Yes. It’s packed with honey, beeswax, and tallow—all known to promote tissue repair, fight infection, and keep the area moisturized.
19. Will it clog pores?
No. It’s non-comedogenic when used in small amounts. Tallow and black seed oil actually help balance sebum and calm inflammation.
20. Can I use this post-sun exposure?
Yes. We don’t block the sun—we support your skin’s recovery. Methylene blue, tallow, and red palm oil help soothe, hydrate, and regenerate after sun exposure.
21. Is it halal?
Yes. All ingredients are halal and ethically sourced. Kasturi Kijang is natural and free from alcohol or impure substances.
22. Is methylene blue safe on skin?
Yes. We use USP-grade methylene blue in microdoses—proven to be safe, stable, and beneficial for the skin’s mitochondria. No side effects.
23. What does methylene blue do for the skin?
It energizes your skin cells (mitochondria), reduces oxidative stress, promotes collagen production, and supports faster healing. It’s skin science with real results.
24. How long will one jar last?
One 100g jar typically lasts 1.5–3.5 months, depending on usage. It’s very concentrated—so you only need a little each time.
25. Why do you use goat tallow instead of beef tallow?
Goat tallow is closer to human sebum in structure than beef tallow—making it gentler, lighter, and more compatible with facial and sensitive skin. It absorbs beautifully without clogging pores.
Goats are naturally raised in smaller, cleaner herds, often pasture-fed, making their fat less contaminated by industrial feed or hormones. It’s also easier to digest when used topically—your skin simply recognizes it better.
From a cultural and spiritual perspective, goat tallow is universally accepted, including among the Indian and Hindu community in Malaysia who traditionally avoid beef products.
We chose goat tallow because it's biologically smarter and culturally inclusive, making this balm suitable for a wider range of people, without compromising its ancestral strength.
